We bring another review for a pretty cool tweak called FoldMusic by Ariel Aouizerate along with Daniel Ferreira.
This tweak allows you to create music playlists in the form of the native folders on iOS. It may seem like a pretty simple tweak but for music lovers like myself it comes in very handy.
Let’s get started!
We’ll start with the settings pannel.
After we install FoldMusic and we open the settings pannel there’s really nothing but a “+” button on the top right corner. This button will create a new folder, once created we get the a new window to select the music we want inside the folder.
Here we can select individual songs or playlists already created in the music app.
After we’re done selecting the music, we get the option to name the folder however we want it.
For example, we can create a folder for working out and another one for relaxation.
The folder will be created on our springboard and acts just like a regular folder, when you tap on it you get the music you selected earlier in the form of a playlist.
You get the artwork, name of the song, and the time. However, on the top right corner you get two icons; a music note icon and a “play” icon.
Tapping on the music note icon reveals basic media controls, play, next, back.
When you tap on the “play” icon you get more advanced media controls such as a volume slider which includes an airplay controller(if available), and a bigger artwork as well as “play”, “next”, and “back” buttons. You can also shuffle or replay the current song and fast forward or rewind the song using the included slider.
Overall FoldMusic may seem very simple but like I said at the beggining, for music lovers this is going to come in handy!
FoldMusic has not yet been updated with iOS 6 support, however the developer stated that as soon as there’s and iOS 6 untethered jailbreak he will update it.
FoldMusic is available on Cydia for $1.50 so go get it!!
